Our intake process is where we answer all your questions relating to Lift Your Future Psychological Services and where we discuss in detail what concerns you have regarding your child's academic progress, social, behavioural, or emotional development. An outline of the assessment/s required, the likely number of assessment sessions and the associated costs will be provided at intake before you commit to receiving any further services. Should you wish to continue with the service, administration forms will be sent out to you to complete and return.
Part of the intake process may include pre-assessment contact with your child's school or kindergarten, or other practitioners involved with your child. This may be necessary in order to gather further information about your child's current functioning in different environments. This pre-assessment contact will take place once the initial administration forms are received.
We like to meet a parent/s in person prior to conducting any psychological assessment in order to gather any outstanding information or answer any further questions from the family, child or adolescent. The pre-assessment parent meeting will generally take place immediately prior to assessment administration.
